At the end of the 2024–2025 academic year, 11 pupils from MOET School were offered places at local secondary schools, one of the highest numbers we’ve ever seen. This remarkable milestone reflects the school’s ongoing success in preparing students for the next step in their education.

Of these 11 students, 7 already have sponsors, which leaves 4 still in need of support before they can begin their secondary education journey.

Why Sponsorship Matters

Sponsorship is an essential part of how MOET helps its pupils continue their studies. For many families, secondary school fees are simply out of reach. When a sponsor steps in, they remove this barrier entirely and give a child the chance to build a future full of possibility.

The cost to sponsor a student is:

  • £250 per year for 4 years, or

  • £200 per year if gift-aided

Most sponsors choose to set up a monthly standing order:

  • £20.83 per month, or

  • £16.67 per month with gift-aid

Every contribution goes directly to the school, ensuring complete transparency and immediate impact.

What Sponsors Receive

Sponsoring a student is genuinely rewarding. Each sponsor receives:

  • An initial photo of their student

  • A short questionnaire introducing them

  • Annual school reports showing academic progress

This creates a meaningful connection between the sponsor and the student they are supporting.

A Year of Academic Success

There is even more good news to celebrate. Last year, MOET had six students sponsored in Form 4—the final year of secondary school. We are proud to report that every one of them passed their MSCE exams, marking a record achievement for the school.

Students typically study 8 to 10 subjects, with their best six scores recorded. This strong performance demonstrates both the students’ dedication and the effectiveness of the support they receive.

How You Can Help

We are now looking for sponsors for the remaining four students who are ready to take their place in secondary school.

Your support can change a young person’s life and help them build a brighter future.
