SULIA Teaches the Parents and Guardians of MOET Pupils How to Live Sustainably!

The Sustainable Livelihood for All (SULIA) are a local organisation that provide activities in order to train and support individuals in living sustainably.

SULIA took an interest to MOET after discovering the similarities in the objectives of the two organisations. SULIA kindly decided to support MOET by providing training to the parents and guardians of the pupils within their catchment. They were provided with intensive training on…

  1. Environmental Conservation
  2. Sustainable Agriculture

This training provided the parents/guardians with with new skills in relation to how they can diversify their farming alongside alongside increasing their crop production.

In terms of diversification, SULIA introduced different types of cash crop farming which can tolerate the current climatic conditions – such as sunflower growing and fish farming.

This training lasted for a whole week and members from a total of 20 households attended! The members thanked SULIA for their new skills and assured the organisation that they would put what they had learnt into practice.

We would like to give a MASSIVE Thank-You to SULIA for all of their hard work! We really appreciate it 🙂

Here are some photos from one of the training sessions!
