Schoolchildren in Taiwan raise over USD1,000 for MOET School

Many thanks go to Sallisha Browne and the children of Washington Bilingual Elementary International Preparatory Studies, based in Taichung in Taiwan for their very generous donation of USD$1,078.95 (£636.85).

We are so impressed with their efforts to raise money for a far-off cause such as MOET.

About Washing Elementary School (International Preparatory Studies):

With an eclectic mix of students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, the International Preparatory Studies builds an atmosphere of a world community. A comprehensive inquiry-based curriculum equips our students to participate productively and responsibly in our dynamic global society. Learning through this program is collaborative, hands-on, integrated, purposeful and action-oriented.

Our teachers implement meaningful, hands-on learning experiences to meet the individual needs of each student.  We incrementally build the students’ ability to assume ownership of their learning and responsibilities. We expect our students to be active leaders in a globally connected world. Because we take our community as seriously as our academic program, we instill the values of honesty, respect, and courage. We reinforce these values by modeling and practicing them daily. We inspire our students to be curious about their world. Through our service learning initiatives and community involvement, students develop an active sense of citizenship and social consciousness..
