Permaculture Training at MOET

Permaculture Training at MOET

In addition to practical farming lessons taught to the pupils, MOET also provide an outreach programme targeted to the wider community and providing them with permaculture skills.

The community are taught skills including how to conserve wood and land resources. They are dependent on fishing and farming and henceforth the quality of the land and availability of water resources are integral to the sustainability of their livelihoods.

In order to help people achieve this, MOET provide frequent training sessions held within the communities on the topic of permaculture.

One training session that took place in June had attendance from residents of 40 different households. These members participated in the training course behind MOET fish pond (as you can see in the photos below)!
