OUTSTANDING STANDARD 8 RESULTS AT MOET

Learners of MOET school started taking std 8 government examinations in 2010.  The results have been good with passing and selection percentages increasing each year.

In 2014 we had 22 learners who sat for the exams and we have recorded a 100{73b4ef428908c4b299e6eb53a324bcb36b885dbbcbdcdf07470a14738ec65bc6} pass rate.  Out of these 12 initially got selected to various secondary school representing 56{73b4ef428908c4b299e6eb53a324bcb36b885dbbcbdcdf07470a14738ec65bc6}.  MOET has registered good results as compared to most primary schools in Mangochi district.

The government conducts second selection when there are vacancies in some schools.   From the second selection  an extra four children from our standard eight have been added  making a total of 16 out of the 22 who passed the exam.

This is great news and an outstanding result BUT it means that there are now 6 graduates who still need to be sponsored through secondary school.
