MOET Off-Season Farming!

MOET Off-Season Farming!

MOET has an irrigation facility that they used throughout summer…

Irrigation is the artificial process of applying controlled amounts of water to crops in order to increase production!

This facility allows MOET to carry out farming as a means of generating income for the school. Additionally, it provides pupils with practical agricultural learning experiences.

MOET School have worked tirelessly to maximise production in order to raise substantial income from the multiple crops they grow.

These include

  • Maize cobs
  • Tomatoes
  • Vegetables
  • Flowers
  • Tree seedlings

When we last spoke to MOET, they proposed that they intended to sell their produce to small holder business people and to the wider community.

We cannot wait to hear back from the school about the success of this project!
