MANGOCHI DISTRICT EDUCATION NETWORK MEETING HELD AT MOET 18th of June 2014

As one of the organization championing education in Mangochi district – Malawi, MOET is an executive  member of Mangochi civil society coalition.  Under this umbrella body of civil societies in the district, there is  Mangochi District Education Network (MADEN) where MOET is also a member.

The network is responsible for promoting the quality of education in the district.  The body also checks the enrolment attendance of school going children and teachers performance in conjunction with the Mangochi District Education Office.

The network members meet once a month at a venue chosen by the members themselves.  MOET was lucky to host the June meeting.  The meeting took place in the school’s library. Among other issues members discussed issues pertaining to the enhancement of Network  programs, child drop out, how quality education can be improved and  sponsorship of orphaned children among other things.  After the meeting, members  walked  around MOET campus to appreciate the nature gift ,organic gardens, forest where beekeeping is taking place and fish ponds .

In his remarks MOET Director Patterson Majonanga, thanked the members for recognizing MOET as developmental partner in the education sector in the district, as promised that MOET will do whatever it takes to promote and improve education in the district.
