Cream Tea Challenge Success!

FOMOE trustees and other fundraisers are continually devising new ideas to fundraise for the charity. Most are extreme feats of achievement, such as marathons, mountain climbs or skydives; this month James and Lizzie Brittain came up with a different kind of challenge…

James and Lizzie provided 60 cream teas to visitors in their garden! Due to COVID restrictions, they were limited to 30 guests at a time so the cream tea event was hosted over two days. More than £1,850 was raised for the charity – a massive achievement! Their guests were impressed to hear the story of the pupils at MOET and how many progress onto secondary school and even to University. They all particularly loved the video provided to them by one of our volunteers, Josh Edwards.
