British Council Grant of £3,000 given to connect classrooms at MOET School and Armathwaite School

British Council Grant of £3,000 given to connect classrooms at MOET School and Armathwaite School

We are delighted to announce that Armathwaite Community School in Cumbria has been successful in winning a British Council Connecting Classrooms grant (see http://schoolsonline.britishcouncil.org/programmes-and-funding/linking-programmes-worldwide/connecting-classroom).  £1,500 is being awarded to each school (MOET and Armathwaite) to enable a reciprocal visit and to provide some supporting curriculum materials.

This is an exciting development for both schools and means that Patterson Majonanga, Director and Headmaster at  MOET will be able to come to the UK for the first time and meet supporters.

More information and updates on dates and activities/projects will follow in due course.

Congratulations to Jane Yates and all at Armathwaite School for securing this amazing award and making this opportunity to connect possible!.
