Boots Pharmacy raises money for MOET School

The Boots Pharmacy team of Padstow, in Cornwall, put on a huge fundraiser recently and managed to raise a huge amount of money for FOMOE.  With the crowds of tourists starting to descend on the small seaside town for summer, the Boots team decided the time was right to put on their long planned ‘Africa Day’ and raise funds and awareness about the MOET school.  Verity Durman, the Pharmacist, has been a long time supporter of the school, meeting Patterson, the Headmaster over 10 years ago while on gap year in Malawi, and the Boots team were very keen to help raise funds with a fun event day. Beautiful eye catching displays were made, tropical fruit and juice was handed out and Alice Tarby from the team used her artistic skills to do face painting with an Africa theme.  All of the staff dressed up in fancy Africa themed outfits, such as a zebra, a crocadile and many more, and they looked great for the photos taken for the local paper.  The day ended up raising £500 in donations from staff, friends and family, and the tourists, and Boots themselves then kindly doubled this effort to make it a huge £1000 for FOMOE!! This donation will go a really long way in Malawi and be a massive help for the school, So FOMOE would like to give a huge THANKYOU to all who participated in the event, it really is fantastic..
